Recently Apple launched the iTunes® Store in New Zealand, also opened the online Apple Store® New Zealand, “where customers can quickly and conveniently purchase Apple’s complete lineup of innovative products” as said at the Apple’s announcement.
New Zealand is a 4 million people country, with already a local Apple IMC (called Renaissance Ltd.) “serving” Apple customers there, with the usual high prices as we know them here in Greece. By the way, in our friend Luc Dubois’ research: “some information claims, there where not so many complaints about Renaissance’s service though”.
So the point is: if Apple can do this for New Zealand, there is hope for Greece too.

Obviously the New Zealand market is nothing compared to the Greek market and the increasing interest of Greeks becoming mac users. Every day more and more computer users are willing to put away their dull PC’s and “Get a Mac”. Hopefully the day that every consumer and business in Greece will be treated fairly and be able to get the Apple products they want, the right way, is close.
