A friend is in the same situation. Producer and DJ from Greece, travels much, likes macintosh (works on a PC though) and never achieved buying a mac cause of the reputation takes place in Greece.
He was really impressed when he found out during a visit in the US that he could buy a macbookpro for the price of 1700 USD (1300 euro aprox), rather than paying 2050 euro buying it from Greece.
